Scope of Position

EDF Renewables North America is a market-leading independent power producer and service provider with over 35 years of experience. This internship position will help the digital technology team to interview users, develop research presentations, and update service blueprints in support of our Digital Technology Service Management project. The intern will grow as a professional as well as an individual by learning from business partners, their direct supervisor, mentor, team members and the entire digital technology department. The successful candidate will be an autonomous quick-learner with an adaptive mindset, not afraid to take initiative and learn from their colleagues.

Responsibilities

Goals of Internship:

  • Conduct user research to better understand user sentiment related to DT services
  • Locate and organize artifacts in support of the DT Service Management project
  • Assist in the documentation of service blueprints
  • Provide additional support to the team as needed

Working Conditions:  

80% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 20% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings   

Qualifications

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Ability to learn quickly 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Strong analytical and research skills 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Miro, Jira and Confluence 
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with minimum supervision  

Education/Experience:

  • Pursuing a degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Communication, Sociology - Culture and Communication, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Business, Organizational Psychology
