Scope of Position

We are seeking an Electrical/Civil Engineering Intern to join our team. As an Offshore Implementaton intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in the field of electrical or civil engineering. This position is open to undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a degree in electrical or civil engineering. This is a hybrid role that will be based atour Brooklyn, NY office. Hybrid work requires at least 3 days a week on average onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of electrical or civil engineering projects under the guidance of senior engineers. 
  • Conduct research and analysis to support engineering projects, including data collection, calculations, and simulations. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met within specified timelines and budgets. 
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and documentation. 
  • Participate in field visits and inspections to assess project progress and identify potential issues or improvements. 
  • Support the testing and troubleshooting of electrical or civil engineering systems and equipment. 
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical or civil engineering technologies.

Working Conditions:

  • 90% of time spent in office environment
  • 10% on supervised field visits

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in electrical or civil engineering. 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Strong academic background in engineering principles and concepts. 
  • Proficient in using engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar programs. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. 
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in electrical or civil engineering is a plus. 
  • Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to attend field visit or conduct site walkdowns with the project team
