Scope of Position

EDF Renewables North America is a market-leading independent power producer and service provider with over 35 years of experience. We deliver grid-scale power: wind (onshore and offshore), solar photovoltaic, and storage projects; distribution-scale power: solar and storage; asset optimization: technical, operational, and commercial expertise to maximize the performance of generating projects, and onsite solutions, through the Company’s PowerFlex affiliate, offering a full suite of onsite energy solutions for commercial and industrial customers: solar, storage, EV charging, energy management systems, and microgrids.

Support the Portfolio Strategy team in the analysis, administration, and execution of renewable energy transactions, with a focus on asset sales and M&A.  

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively – both within the team and with multiple other teams across the EDF organization – to organize, support, and manage transaction diligence to ensure timely and flawless execution.
  • Support investor outreach, preparation of investment materials, and investor Q&A through multiple stages of a transaction
  • Manage non-disclosure agreement negotiation process.
  • Manage transaction data rooms: control data room access, manage documents, and ensure quality control over data room materials.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing material on the projects (Information Memorandum, Financial Models, Presentations, Letters) to be distributed to potential buyers.
  • Build and analyze financial models to forecast valuations, identify key valuation drivers, and calculate/summarize transaction metrics including NPV, IRR, and cash/accounting margins.
  • Manage, record, and track transaction documents and other organizational materials for the Portfolio Strategy team.
  • Investor tracking and reporting using Salesforce.
  • Utilize industry news and information platforms to track renewable energy M&A market activity and summarize trends and insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Assist in creation of PowerPoint presentations for investors or senior management.
  • Participate in the negotiation of M&A contracts to help support value maximization and risk mitigation to EDF Renewables
  • Support in drafting contract summaries, reports, and preparing presentations for senior executives.
  • Coordinate logistics of management meetings, site visits and other events involving investors
  • Support internal team logistics (organizing internal meetings, scheduling attendance to trade shows and conferences, etc.). Other activities to support or manage renewable energy transactions as may be required.
  •  Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

100% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 0% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes project finance, transaction negotiation and due diligence, investment banking, and/or renewable energy. Familiarity with renewable energy financing structures (e.g., tax equity, back-leverage debt, etc.)

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of the renewable energy industry, exposure to contract management and negotiations, and has an excellent level of attention to detail.
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Ability to hit deadlines and adapt to new business demands quickly.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, track progress of each project, and provide accurate and timely updates.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for renewable energy and emerging technologies
  • Must be able to work well with geographically disperse, cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player, strong ethics, and commitment to sustainable deals/business relationships.

 

This role’s annual base salary range is between $81,000 and $135,000.
