Salary range: The full pay range for this role is $118,400 - $197,300 annually. The target range for this position is $150,400 - $170,000. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.
Scope of Job: The Solutions Architect is responsible for providing hands-on, technical leadership within the Digital Infrastructure group as a recognized expert in IT systems engineering solution development. This role is primarily business facing, working with other groups inside of EDF Renewables to design, and document solutions to meet business needs. Additionally, this role is responsible for working with subject matter experts to maintain design and plans for existing systems and environments and develop roadmaps for the future. EDF Renewable Energy’s infrastructure is located throughout North America. These operations include wind and solar power generation plants and energy storage facilities owned and/or managed by EDF RE and all data center and cloud operations environments. Additional responsibilities include working collaboratively with other technology architects, corporate business users and other technical contributors. The Solutions Architect also leads the design and support of EDF systems compliance within our regulated NERC CIP environment.
Responsibilities:
25% - Advises and consults with IT and Executive Management teams regarding systems design, architecture, management, and configurations to develop technical solutions that meet the company’s business goals.
25% - Designs, plans, and documents infrastructure and enterprise application environments including both on-premises and cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
20% - Partners with cyber security to design, plan, and implement security practices in designs. Ensures solutions, policies, and procedures are compliant with applicable government regulations, customer-specific/owner-specific requirements, and industry best practices. Researches and tests new technologies in support of business operations.
15% - Creates and maintains systems architectural diagrams.
5% - Functions as part of the infrastructure leadership team, provides technical direction and support for internal Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity initiatives as well as analyzes and mitigates security risks.
5% - Assists with budget planning and procurement of systems hardware and software as directed in a cost effective manner.
5% - Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions: 90% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 10% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors and internal sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings.
Fiscal Responsibilities: Able to develop financial plans for projects up to $2M
