Salary Range: The full payrange for this role is $65,600 - $109,300 per year. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.
The Material Control Specialist plays a crucial role in managing spare parts inventory levels by analyzing demand patterns, implementing spare parts categories based on criticality, price, and lead time, configuring Material Requirements Planning (MRP) parameters, and ensuring timely availability of spare parts. Additionally, this role oversees material master data management processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance through KPI development and reporting.
- Manage Spare Part Demand Planning and Inventory Levels. Analyze demand patterns and update MRP settings in the ERP system to optimize spare part inventory levels. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align demand planning activities with inventory requirements.
- Maintain and enhance Material Master Data. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of material master data related to parts information, classification, purchasing, stocking, and vendor-specific data.
- Develop and Implement Forecast Models. Create reliable forecast models based on industry trends and commodity groups to enhance demand forecast accuracy. Propose and implement solutions to improve forecasting processes and accuracy.
- Develop Compliance Metrics and Reporting. Establish metrics for compliance auditing and reporting on Material Control activities. Collaborate with Fulfillment Buyers, Field Operations, and suppliers to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Create, review, and maintain Material Control processes, procedures, and work instructions to streamline operations.
- Other Duties as Assigned. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support the Material Control function and overall business objectives.
