Scope of Position

 

 EDF Renewables North America is a market-leading independent power producer and service provider with over 35 years of experience. The Executive Assistant will manage and oversee HR special projects and initiatives in support of the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). The person will be responsible for the creation and distribution of HR communications, analyzing HR metrics and preparing spreadsheets, presentations, and special projects. The EA provides administrative support to the CHRO  by interfacing daily with internal and external customers, handling travel arrangements, working with Microsoft Professional Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook), expense reporting, invoicing, and meeting scheduling.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provides executive administrative support for the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), as well as related administrative support for the broader HR leadership team; with direct focus on initiatives relating to HR project management, employee engagement, and special projects.  Provide efficient and effective support and advice to team members serving as the first point of contact; answers inquiries and make referrals as appropriate.  Provides support to, gives advice, and coordinates with HR team members thru daily interface with internal stakeholders and external customers. Works with highly sensitive data and maintains confidentiality.  
  • Executive Administrative Support for CHRO and Human Resources leadership team. Prioritizes and bring high priority items to CHRO’s attention; Monitor daily calendar and adjust as needed to expedite CHRO’s daily schedule. Arrange travel and prepare expense report.
  • Create Purchase Requisitions within the SAP system and follows through the process to completion; Assists with receiving goods and services in SAP.
  • Attend meetings and coordinate all documentation and support materials, including agendas, minutes, presentation materials, etc. Assists with budget activities. Create presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Coordinate HR wide meetings and events. Point person for all logistics for HR to include venues, meeting rooms, hotels lodging (if applicable), catering and calendaring and communications associated with events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of administrative assistant work experience or equivalent training and/or experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Independent, analytical, self-motivated, able to take the initiative to liaise with other departments and external sources 
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • High level of expertise with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working in SAP and Concur preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with minimal supervision

Work Location: Carmel Mountain Ranch/Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego.

Work mode:                Hybrid (3 days in the office).

Full Salary Range:     $83,000 - $138,400

Target Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000

 

We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.

Working Conditions:

95% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 5% of the time is spent in the field supporting executive and Managers in meetings, tradeshows, etc.
