Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $105,100 - $175,100 annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.

 

Scope of Job: The Salesforce Product Manager is a strategic role focused on driving the development and enhancement of Salesforce and related applications within the enterprise. This individual will serve as the bridge between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that Salesforce workflows and functionalities align with business objectives. The Product Manager will lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions that improve business processes and user experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap
    • Develop and maintain the product roadmap for Salesforce and related applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and evolving business needs.
    • Prioritize features, enhancements, and initiatives based on business impact, technical feasibility, and resource availability.
    • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry benchmarking to identify trends and opportunities for innovation within the Salesforce ecosystem.
    • Gather feedback from stakeholders, end-users, and leadership to continuously refine the product vision and strategy.
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of Salesforce initiatives and inform future decision-making.
  • Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering 
    • Collaborate with business units to understand their workflows, pain points, and strategic objectives, identifying opportunities for process optimization within Salesforce.
    • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather detailed business requirements and ensure alignment across teams.
    • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories, process flows, and functional specifications for the development team.
    • Partner with Salesforce Architects and Developers to assess technical feasibility and recommend scalable solutions.
    • Continuously evaluate and refine business processes to ensure Salesforce configurations meet evolving organizational needs.
  • Project Management
    • Oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of Salesforce projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Architects, Developers, QA, and external vendors, to ensure smooth project progression and issue resolution.
    • Manage project risks, dependencies, and change requests, proactively addressing challenges to minimize disruptions.
    • Utilize project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) to track progress, communicate updates, and maintain transparency with stakeholders.
    • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Training 
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on Salesforce product enhancements, project status, and upcoming initiatives.
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials, including user guides, videos, and live sessions, to ensure effective adoption of Salesforce features.
    • Act as a Salesforce evangelist, promoting best practices and driving user engagement across the organization.
    • Gather feedback from end-users post-training to identify gaps and improve future training sessions.
    • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and maintain a shared vision for Salesforce's role in achieving business objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Supervision of Others: This will not have direct reports.

 

Working Conditions: 80% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 20% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role, with a focus on Salesforce or CRM platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce administration, configuration, and deployment in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce sales cloud or service cloud capabilities.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce products, features, and limitations.
  • Strong understanding of business processes related to sales, customer service, and marketing.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
