Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $118,400 - $197,300 annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.

 

Scope of Job: The Enterprise Application Manager is involved in overseeing the technical architecture, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of business and enterprise applications. In addition to actively driving EDF power solution's digital transformation in the application domain, it will also ensure efficiency & success in day-to-day operations of business and enterprise applications. This role provides leadership and technical expertise in planning, selecting, implementing, upgrading, and maintaining key business and enterprise SaaS and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.

 

The Enterprise Application Manager leads a team of exceptional individuals who are responsible for the overall health and maturity of EDF Power Solution's business and enterprise applications and is responsible for the efficient and effective utilization of business and enterprise applications and resources across the organization. Success in this role, requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of managing complex software projects, driving innovation, and leading high-performing teams.

 

The role also provides leadership, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment and is responsible for monitoring key performance indicators, analyzing data, and making data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency, resource utilization and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Application Management, Technical Architecture, and Implementation
    • Oversee the technical architecture and ensure interoperability between the different enterprise & business applications.
    • Conducts comprehensive assessments (including health) of the current business and enterprise ecosystem to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
    • Manage extensions, add-ons, and production software changes to mitigate risks.
    • Collaborates with PMO, product managers, and technical release/configuration managers on production software changes to mitigate risks to normal operations.
    • Provides technical leadership, establish best practices and ensure adherence to standards and policies.
    • Leads the management of technical debt, upgrades, cybersecurity compliance and vulnerabilities.
    • Responds to audits as appropriate, proactively addressing possible concerns.
  • Strategic Direction and Support Management
    • Develops and implements strategies to enhance business and enterprise capabilities, aligning with business objectives & strategies.
    • Secure approvals from the Design Board for architectural decisions
    • Collaborates with business units to deliver technical solutions that meet their goals.
    • Plans and oversees the deployment of new applications and upgrades.
    • Works with teams to enhance existing applications.
  • People Performance, Evaluation and Growth
    • Leads, motivates, and provides continuing forward direction for teams.
    • Manages the resource demand necessary to deliver the goals and objectives for the business and enterprise portfolio.
    • Engages employees through all aspects of people leadership, including hiring, setting expectations, coaching, career development, and performance management, as well as team building.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
    • Establish individual development plans to support the growth and career progression of team members.
  • Documentation & Vendor Management
    • Define processes for developing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for all business and enterprise systems such as system integrations, configurations, system diagrams, support, etc.
    • Define processes for evaluation of vendor performance and conduct regular vendor performance evaluations.
  • Change Management & Operations
    • Establish a continuous improvement program to identify and address inefficiencies and bottlenecks in business and enterprise applications.
    • Optimize processes, focusing on automation, patching, standardization, and simplification of workflows.
    • Regularly review and assess operational efficiencies through metrics such as SLAs, system uptime, response time, usage, and customer satisfaction scores
    • Direct incident response, problem management, and change management protocols.
    • Train team members on change management and ensure compliance monitoring.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Maintains a viable professional network to attract, hire, develop and retain employees.
    • Focuses on short to mid-term operational planning.
    • Makes decisions based on understanding of risks which impact operations or projects.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Working Conditions: 80% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 20% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings.

 

Fiscal Responsibilities:

  • Creating and managing budgets
  • Forecasting revenue and expenses
  • Monitoring financial performance against targets and adjusting as necessary

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise applications support, architecture, and management
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL and/or COBIT-19, cybersecurity best practices, and application lifecycle management
  • Experience managing application roadmaps, vendor relations, and compliance frameworks.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand at computer for a reasonable length of time typing and reading. Regularly required to walk or stand. 100% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment.
