Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $118,400 - $197,300 annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.

Scope of Job: The Program and Governance Lead - Data, drives the transformation of how EDF power solutions harnesses its data assets to accelerate the clean energy transition. The Program and Data Governance Lead executes enterprise-wide data governance initiatives while building strategic partnerships across the business to enable data-driven decision making in our rapidly evolving industry. This role works closely with the Director of Digital Governance, Risk and Compliance, and the Data & Analytics (D&A) organization, to translate strategic vision into tangible and actionable programs that deliver measurable business value.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership:
    • Partners with D&A leadership to transform strategic initiatives into executable programs and roadmaps.
    • Drives the execution of data governance programs, ensuring successful delivery and value realization of D&A programs and projects.
    • Develops comprehensive program plans that align with business objectives and timelines.
    • Establishes and monitors program metrics that demonstrate business value and ROI.
    • Leads cross-functional teams to achieve program milestones and objectives.
    • Identifies opportunities for program optimization and process improvements.
    • Manages program resources and budgets effectively to maximize impact.
  • Governance Lead:
    • Builds and maintains a robust governance documentation including policies, procedures, and guidelines that empowers rather than restricts.
    • Guides data stewards and owners in implementing effective governance practices including leading underlying system or process changes to enable successful data-driven outcomes.
    • Coordinates and energizes governance working groups to drive meaningful outcomes.
    • Champions data quality and metadata management initiatives
    • Promotes data governance awareness and best practices throughout the organization to accelerate business objectives.
    • Leads the resolution of governance challenges through collaborative problem-solving.
    • Monitors compliance with established governance standards and reports on governance metrics
    • Maintains governance tools and repositories.
  • Business Relationship Management:
    • Builds and nurtures strong relationships with key business stakeholders across all business lines.
    • Acts as primary liaison between data governance team and business units.
    • Proactively identifies opportunities to deliver value through data governance and overall D&A initiatives.
    • Translates complex governance concepts into clear business benefits.
    • Designs and delivers engaging training and awareness programs.
    • Drives change adoption through effective stakeholder engagement.
    • Facilitates collaborative forums that promote shared understanding and alignment.
    • Serves as a trusted advisor to business units on data governance and D&A matters.

Working Conditions: 80% of time is spent in the office environment. 20% of time is spent outside of the office comprised of national and international travel for meetings and collaboration with global counterparts, as well as travel to conferences and trade shows to understand new and emerging technologies and changes to the renewable energy industry.

 

Fiscal Responsibilities: Contributes to Digital Technology Budget

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or related field required.
  • 4+ years of experience in data governance, program management, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with business stakeholders.
  • Experience in implementing governance processes and frameworks.
  • Professional certifications in Project Management or Data Management preferred.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools
    • Understanding of data governance concepts and frameworks
    • Knowledge of documentation and process mapping tools
    • Basic understanding of data regulations and compliance requirements

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand at computer for a reasonable length of time typing and reading. Regularly required to walk or stand. 100% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment.
