Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $66,900 - $111,400 /Annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors including but not limited to, relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases, geographic location.

 

Scope of Job:

Responsible to fulfill demand of goods for our renewable energy services businesses, and day-to-day Supplier management within an assigned category while ensuring overall objectives, procurement strategies, and compliance requirements are met.

 

Work Mode:  Remote or Hybrid [3 days on-site if based in the San Diego metro area]

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill orders for the demand of goods for field service requirements within an assigned category, including the review of systems and business generated purchase requisitions, source of supply assignment, purchase order issuance, and scheduling and expediting of deliveries to desired locations.
  • Manage sourcing events (RFP/RFQ) based on corporate policy, analyze pricing and service levels from Supplier proposals, negotiate outline agreements and maintain source lists in SAP.
  • Maintain overall Supplier relations and analyze, identify, and communicate Supplier performance and procure-to-pay compliance issues.
  • Evaluation, planning, and forecasting of spare parts requirements to meet overall company goals.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain related risk and maintains purchasing information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

85% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 15% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Requires bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a minimum of 2 years related supply chain experience in Renewable Energy; or 3 plus years of related progressive supply chain experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Minimum of 2+ years experience working in the SAP 
  • Minimum 2 years of purchasing/buying experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) experience.
  • Ariba Sourcing experience preferred.
  • Oriented to the highest degree of customer service level and satisfaction.
  • Good oral & written communication skills.
  • Solid relationship building and interpersonal skill set with suppliers, internal & external customers, peers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of commonly used supply chain concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Ability to resolve pricing, shipping, and invoicing issues in a timely manner.
  • Understands the need to exercise discretion and safeguard confidential information.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, internal clients, and customers.
  • Functional knowledge and experience in MS Office required.
  • Renewable Energy experience preferred.
  • Six Sigma certification or knowledge preferred.
