Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $120,800 - $200,100 annually, and the good faith estimated starting pay for this position upon hire is $145,000 to $167,000 annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors including but not limited to, relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases, geographic location.

 

Scope of Job:

This position is responsible for EDFR’s 3rd Party client success through the building of high quality and lasting relationships with customers, ensuring we deliver value, high quality contract execution, issue resolution, and P&L management.  Ultimately, this position manages day-to-day partnering and advocating for our clients and will be the driving force in ensuring we are delivering for them and earning the opportunity for future service agreements. This position will also work with senior management to set overall region strategy and is central to our ability to execute that strategy.

Responsibilities

  • 25% - Ultimate ownership of client relationship and project/portfolio level P&L through direct interaction with clients and through the supervision of other client managers.
  • 20% - Increase portfolio revenues (directly managed and through management of others) through new product and service offerings and manage costs, balancing profitability with long term client success.
  • 20% - For higher level commercial & technical issues identify and coordinate the appropriate internal resources (HSE, QC, Technical Services, accounting, etc.) to deliver speedy issue resolution. Escalating any roadblocks or resources issues as needed to ensure client success.
  • 10% - Responsible for overseeing contractual obligations post deal close through the lifetime of the commercial agreement; ensuring high caliber contract management and administration in concert with Operations Managers and EDF RS’s Legal Department.
  • 5% - Lead client renewals process (commercial negotiations, contracting, internal approvals, etc.) and ensure all client renewals are won.
  • 5% - Ensure timely and complete commercial and operational reporting is happening at both and EDFR internal and customer level.
  • 5% - Promote a positive image in the renewable energy industry through thought leadership & demand generation activities (public speaking, webinars, authoring articles, trade show participation, etc.)
  • 5% - Keep abreast of the company’s vision, mission, values, and services as well as the competitive landscape and be able to articulate the company’s capabilities and service offerings effectively to team members and customers.
  • 5% - Other duties as assigned

 

 

Supervision of Others:

Direct management of Key Client Manager positions, a mentor to team members, providing day-to-day guidance and support.  Coordinates and directs the activities of others.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications: (Degree/Certifications/License/Experience/Specialized Knowledge/Skills)

Education/Experience

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or business-related subject required (Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Physics, Math, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years experience managing customer relationships at all levels throughout the organization; asset management or client management experience a plus.
  • Previous experience within the renewable energy (wind, solar) field a plus.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to own customer issues and escalations and work collaboratively with multiple teams to best service the customer with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Bright, quick, articulate, excellent interpersonal skills, and able to adapt to different internal and external constituencies.
  • Ability to be innovative, analytical and proactive in solving customer problems and proposing solutions through upsell and cross-sell activities.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to prepare and deliver formal presentations to large groups, online and in person.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to relate to customers across all project lifecycle phases.
  • Detail-oriented with project management skills to oversee contractual compliance.
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiating and influencing skills, including ability to set clear customer expectations.
  • Ability to negotiate, draft, & interpret service contracts.
  • Viewed as a team player who also possesses the independence of thought and opinion to provide candor and honesty when making key business decisions.
  • Willingness to embrace and defend a culture of respect, communication and accountability to thrive in a highly dynamic environment
  • Passionate about business results, with a strong sense of accountability, metrics and ownership.
  • Experience with CRM programs.
  • Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, other Office products and Adobe skills.

Must be able to sit or stand at computer for a reasonable length of time typing and reading. Regularly required to walk or stand. 100% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment.

Working Conditions:

75% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 25% of time is spent outside of the office visiting other EDF RS locations, client sites, organizational partners, and industry conferences and trade shows
