The Counsel will work closely with the head of the legal department of EDF Renewables Distributed Solutions, Inc. (DS or the Company) to support the legal needs of the Company and specifically, the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) team. Counsel will have demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating construction documents, subcontractor agreements, operation and maintenance (O&M) agreements, long-lead equipment procurement agreements, and the respective ancillary documents of the foregoing agreements for distribution-scale solar photovoltaic electric generation facilities and storage projects. The Counsel will have relevant legal experience in the construction industry, knowledge of solar and storage industries, and the ability to work successfully with team members in a fast-paced work environment. The Counsel should be self-driven, able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, and be comfortable interfacing and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The Counsel will have sufficient legal knowledge and experience to be able to provide direct, relevant, and timely advice to internal stakeholders or to know how to find and convey that advice. The Counsel will be team-oriented and will demonstrate strong reasoning and communication skills, both oral and written.
Location: The ideal candidate will be local to our Columbia, MD or West Lebanon, NH office and will have hybrid flexibility. Remote may be considered for exceptional candidates in select areas.

This position, under general direction of the Senior Health and Safety Compliance Manager, is responsible for the daily activities associated with the development, direction, and implementation of EDF Renewable’s (EDFR) Health and Safety Compliance programs. This position serves to provide EDFR leadership and employees with sound guidance to ensure a safe and healthful work environment that complies with all Federal, State, and local safety and environmental regulations.
